A wonderful Time. :-)

We all like to have fun, be it time with friends, or family. During my time off work I have done many things that I would consider fun. My trip to Awenda Provincial Park was alot of fun, as I have spoke of previously.

This was a trip to the dog beach, and some of the fun we all had. The dog beach is an area where people can take their dogs, and let them enjoy the water, and the company of other furry friends. A time to run, and be free, off the leash. A time to fetch a stick, plunge into the sparkling water, and splash around, or just chase after each other, or your favourite person.

Trying to find the right size stick can be a real chore, or even deciding if you really want that drink of water after a good run. All the fun , and dilemas our furry friends go through.  Our dog Ginger was the only furry friend there who would not go in the water. She would not go. Tyson, another furry friend went speeding around, back and forth in a spurt of energy. As he got near the shore line, he went to jump over a log and landed right in the water. The look of panic was on his face, as he franticly paddled his  way back to shore. We all had a big laugh over his misjudgement. He usually hates the water.

As for the human visitors at the dog beach, we got to watch our feet sink in the sand, as the waves washed over our toes. Time to toss a stone, and see it plunk in the water.  We watched the bees, and a hornet feast on the nector of a shore line plant. The sound of the waves caressing the rocks, and the shore line was very soothing.

At the end of a wonderful span of time at the dog beach it was time to leave. Our furry friends were worn out, yet very happy. As we travelled back to our site, they fell fast asleep. A day of fun over, and happy from the activities, we all had a cool drink, and our furry friends laid down for a well deserved rest.
