Going back to work.

Today, is the last day of my holiday.  With sadness I will return to work.

I will leave the world of the living, and return to the world of the living dead. ” the night shift worker.”  I have enjoyed the time to be like all  the rest of the humans in the world, who see the light of day, and feel the sun shine on their faces everyday.  I will miss the sun upon my face, and being almost normal. Cause I was not born normal, and will never be what anyone will call normal, “Ever.”

I live my life from day to day and embrace whatever comes my way. And today, I embrace the return to work. “YUK”.  “Oh to be wealthy.”  Ya right.   I go into the land of the dark, with my eyes held open by tooth picks.  A smile glued to my face, my feet shuffling along to the beat of the night,  for I am really not there in my heart.  I am off at camp foraging the woods, and brush  for that perfect photo to share with my readers.  My mind is wondering, but my body is moving in rhythm of the night shift worker.

” Yup,”  that’s me.    But, I will be fine, I will do the night shift shuffle, and look toward the cruise we will take in early  2010. That is my carrot. 

 So, when work gets ya down, just find the carrot you need to look forward to at the end of the day, and shuffle on. 

” Have you found your carrot yet?”
