An Adventure At The Rom

The Rom Museum, is located in Toronto Ontario, Canada.
I had never had the chance to visit the Rom before, and when the opportunity came my way I was raring to go. The structure of this mammoth building is very breathtaking the first time you see it. The towering expanse of glass and steel, gives you the illusion that the building will fall on you at any moment. The stucture is amazing.
As I entered the Rom, the hustle and bustle of visitors could be seen every where. Young and old, hand in hand, out for an adventure at the Rom. As we paid our fee to enter this wonderful place I could see a skeleton in the distance, I really wanted to take a picture of that. With my camera flashing I forged on.

I was finding it very hard trying to figure out which beautiful display to take a photo of next. I was like a kid in a candy store, flitting around from display to display. I was having a hard time deciding between the tombs, beautiful arch ways, the many species of birds, animal life, and of course my all time favorite, “the BUGS”. ” SO I JUST TOOK PHOTO’S OF THEM ALL.”

Could you imagine waking up with one of these bugs next to you. ” No Thanks.” Not for me, I like bugs, but that would be too much, and imagine that fish on the end of your line. “Yikes!”

This little guy almost seems like he is out of place. But, I guess the racoon has been around for many centuries.
There is a bat cave in the Rom, that is dark, dingy, and wet, but the “scardie cat” in me stopped me from entering the cave. :-0 With so much to see, I was getting some what hungry, so a trip to the cafeteria was needed. The food they sell there, costs a bit, but the quiche, and salad I devoured was delicious. Well worth the money spent. Tanks filled, and feet rested, we pressed on.

With sore feet from walking, we headed for the gift shop. The shop held gifts of different prices, so nobody left without some momento of their visit to the Rom. We found our bargains, and headed to our vehicle, heading home. As we sat at the light, and bid good bye to the Rom, we could see our reflection in the glass panels of the building that housed so many wonderous tails of past times.
As we bid good bye, I wondered why I had not made this trip earlier?
Have you thought about taking your Museum adventure lately? :-)

Wow! That building looks so grand! Beautiful!
And you’re right, it does look like that it’s going to fall.
Thanks very much I was very taken by the design myself.
