“Back to School.”

Will Moms be happy? ” YES

Will children be happy? “NO”        But, this time comes every year, like clock work. There is nothing to stop this event from happening each year. :-)

When I was much  the younger, the end of summer meant the trip back to teachers, books, learning and meeeting old friends again. It also meant, no more late playing outside, it meant to bed early, so we had enough rest for the next days events. It meant making the lunches for my brothers, and sisters. There are eight of us , so you can imagine the amount of lunch that was being prepared, and the amount of cost incurred by our parents, but each night before bed the same ritual took place.   The next morning took on the illusion of coordination, as everyone got up, and got prepared for the bus to arrive. It may have looked like it was co-ordinated, but, it was  very chaotic. Everyone running here and there, Mom yelling that the bus was coming soon, ” get ready “. The panic was exhausting, and when you got on the bus, you could relax. Everyone off  to start the first day of the school year.

Parents loved the serenity of the day, at least till the bus brought the children back home again.

But, days before the season came to an end, the sales on clothes, and accessories hit the stores, and parents looking for deals were out in full force. Alot of Moms, and Dads had children as “tag alongs” for the shopping event. The comments given by the “tag alongs” ignored by the deal seeking parents. Because, to the parents, saving money was all too important. And, clothing eight children was a very big event. :-0  Parents in a trance, with only one goal in mind, was,  ”  to get this over with. ” :-0

By the end of this shopping trip, parents are exausted, and children are pleased or not pleased with the buys of the day, all head home with thier bounty.

I commend all Mom’s and Dad’s for thier patience, and love for their children. We do our best to give our children all we can. We guide them, teach them, and hopefully show them right from wrong. We can only hope that what we do will be with them to help them along thier journey through life. :-)

” Have you thanked your parents for all they have taught you, and shown you? “

A big hug would be nice. :-)
