” A little piece of heaven.”

I wish to share some of my pictures of the city I have lived in for years. ” Please enjoy.”
I have lived here in Barrie, Ontario, Canada for many years now. I take great pride in calling Barrie my home. I wish to share my views of our city with those who have never been here, and even those of you who call this city your home.
” Please enjoy!”
This beautiful home was built by William Lount in 1878. The home is now an apartment building, but in it’s early days the building was at the highest point in Barrie. The splender of the castle, had a full size formal ballroom on the top floor. As you can imagine this home was the place to visit, the upper crust would party there often. Rumour has it that there are ghosts living in this old building along with the living.
Every City has one hotel, and watering hole that has been there for many years. This is one of ours, The Simcoe Hotel. It is located at what we call the five points. An intersection that branches off five ways. The building, as you may see, is very well maintained, in fashion of it’s original style. Many reside there in apartments/rooms on the second floor. In it’s time this was the place to go, and meet with freinds.
