As November eleventh draws near, we bow our heads in a moment of silence, for those who have fought to keep us safe.

         November the eleventh, is the day that all across this world we take the time to remember the soldiers that fought in wars,  to keep us all safe from harm.     These brave men and woman gave their lives so we could live, without fear.   

      Today many brave men and women are battling to keep peace.    They put  their lives on the line everyday.     They are veterans of  wars past and present.     

     This day is dedicated to those who gave their lives.     

     Many people gather at cenotaphs, and school gymnasiums to hear the readings of Flander’s Fields, and dedications from children who learn the of battles won and lost.     

         The young, the old, a time to reflect, a time to remember.    Past friends that fought by your side, and fell amongst the crimson field.   

        The blood of those who came before.     

       The poppy is a symbol we wear proudly, as we respect those who have made us safe today.  

         On this November eleventh, I ask of all, to bow your heads in silence.    Some will shed a tear, for those not here, and for loved ones gone.     Honour, and respect we give to all our fighting forces.   

           May they be safe in their fight for peace.
