Tis’ the Season.

            ” Christmas spirit. “

This year the crowds in the malls and stores are at their worst.       The line ups at the cash are very long, and every once in awhile you will hear the shriek of a young shopper who has had enough.         ”NO more shopping, no more bliss, I have had enough.”        “And that is me.”   No, just kidding.   :-)

stressed

Children are the worst shoppers ever, especially when they are too young to be in the spirit of the season.            Like us adaults they become hungry, miserable, and just down right unhappy.        The stress of the crowds, too much to take.

I am one of those shoppers who are on a mission.     ”Get in, get out, and stay alive.”      It sounds like a battlefield when I say it that way, but it is true.       Have you ever seen  people in the stores these days?         It is all for yourself.          I get too stressed out.

I love the stores when they stay open later in the evenings, and the city is sleeping.          Then is a real relaxing shopping time.            And as the deadline approaches the frenzy of last minute shoppers, can be down right hectic, and dangerous.        I stay away from that craziness, and will not venture there.

I’ve seen alot of Christmas lights up on homes in our neighbourhood.     And they are very pretty to watch.      I remember when I was young my Dad would round all eight of up into the station wagon, and we would be off to see the homes that where decorated in our city.        This was my most favorite time at Christmas.     Our family did not have much, and this event was a great treat for all of us.2 herats

And now there is a different meaning for families at Christmas.      I don’t care about the gifts.        The thing that counts most, is that we all get together, and spend time together.        The meal being the biggest part of the gathering.        The conversations, the food, and the company, are all the makings of a great holiday.

So, when you are in the frenzy of the season, let your mind drift to Christmas past, and remember a quieter time.    And don’t forget to give if you can to help out those less fortunate out there.        “The Salvation Army can use your help this year.”

” Give when you can, it will make you feel good inside.”

                   ” Happy Hunting.”   :-)

bye bye Bye, Bye.
