” Sundays”

                                    “A day of rest.”

At least it used to be, there was a time when every person was allowed to enjoy one day through the week, in which was known as family time.

“Times have changed.” The hustle, and bustle of this hectic world has let us with not one day a week which the whole family could share togehter. Doing something at the same time, that is. It is a very sad time, when we must wait for the holidays we have picked to actually have family time together. This is a tradition that has gone by the wayside, and the saddest thing is, our children need more time with their parents. Laws have taken away the rights of parents to be parents. I am not saying that parents have a right to beat their children, but a smack on the butt never hurt anyone. I grew up with that, and more, as sad as it may seem. I never beat my children, and I trusted their judgement enough to know they would choose the right path, or direction . I am a lucky mom, and I am very proud of my children.

As I said the laws have taken over parenthood, and children now know that someone will get their parents into hot water if they are not good to them. “So SAD.” At least the way the children want them to be. Children challenge authority, and they seem to have lost respect for the older generation. Sure we had some issues in our growing days, but we spoke to adults with respect, not rudeness. “What has this world come to?” “I wonder this all the time.” We are loosing the respect of our off spring, and the laws have let that happen.

I thrive on family bonds, and I guess that makes me old fashion. But, oh well, then, that is me.

Keep your loved ones close, and trust in them, and the fact that they will get through the rough times they are in today.

Love, and understanding can work wonders for everyone. We need to embrace every moment together, and wreap the rewards life gives us. The road in life is a bumpy one, but at the end there are many memories.

Our children love us, and they sometimes do not see the ones who truly love them.

“Children”, respect your elders, and most of all love yourself.

“Parents”, trust, love, and be patient, all things work themselves out in time.

I wish love to everyone, and happy family times.

” Hug your children often, and kiss them even if they say it is yucky. “
